Get your body back after surgery.

What can Mending Mobility do for you?

After a surgery your body will attempt to lay down scar tissue as part of the healing process. Your body doesn’t know exactly where this new tissue needs to go and the new tissue can sometimes lead to restrictions (in the skin, muscle, fascia) that are painful or limiting to normal movement. I am a doctor of physical therapy that would like to aide in your recovery through safely mobilizing the scar tissue and providing movement and exercise strategies that are appropriate for your healing journey.

Krystal K. Place, Physical Therapist

Doctor of Physical Therapy

I’ve worked in outpatient orthopedics for about 5 years now- the last four of which have been at a one on one manual therapy-based clinic. While I love my day job, I also feel that there is a need for better post-surgical care in our community. More specifically, during those first few weeks when people are getting back to normal life. There’s a time period when you’re not quite ready for outpatient physical therapy yet, but also need more information on how to improve your outcomes and hands on manual therapy interventions to aid in scar tissue remodeling (both to decrease function-limiting adhesions and long term pain). That’s where my expertise in manual therapy and next steps come in.

I’d be happy to chat about how this could potentially improve your recovery journey.
